DataAnnotation's FAQ describes five tracks with different requirements and rates:

Requirements and approval
The baseline is a bachelor's degree or equivalent real-world experience. DataAnnotation explicitly says on-the-job expertise counts as much as formal education — "a bachelor's degree and 10 years in mathematics could be as qualified as someone with a master's".
The starter assessment is the gate. Many applicants report waiting weeks without a response; DataAnnotation does not publish acceptance rates or timelines, so plan for uncertainty rather than income.
Referral program: invite-only tab
Some contributors see a Referrals tab in their dashboard, with a small cap on the number of people they can invite (community reports mention five). The referral page itself requires a login. There is no public affiliate program and no published bonus table. If you are a worker and see the tab, the terms inside your account are the ones that apply.
Who it is for
People with strong English writing, a degree or equivalent, and ideally a coding, STEM or professional background. Entry-level, phone-only or non-English-first contributors will usually have more luck with Hub.xyz, Crowtado or Mindrift's All-access tasks.
