What Mindrift pays
Mindrift's own FAQ states: "US$15 to US$100+ per hour depending on project complexity and your domain expertise. Compensation is always visible before you begin each task." Project pages advertise monthly caps such as "up to US$6,400/month" for STEM or "up to US$8,000/month" for consulting — these are ceilings for top experts, not typical outcomes.
Two payment models coexist:
- Formula-based rewards that account for complexity and, per Mindrift's blog, the contributor's location.
- Fixed rewards on some projects, with a region-specific fixed level, introduced to make payments simpler and give more people access to tasks.
Some tasks are auto-accepted and credited on submission; others are reviewed by the project owner before payment. Authors can add bonuses to accepted work, from US$0.005 up to US$100.
All-access vs Specialized projects
The onboarding path Toloka describes is: sign up → start on All-access tasks open to everyone → add skills and pass short qualification tasks → unlock Specialized projects with higher rates. Mindrift says 70% of its contributors hold a master's or PhD, which tells you where the high-rate work concentrates.
If you have no domain credential, expect the entry band and treat qualifications as the lever that moves you up.
Payouts: twice a month
- Payment partners: Payoneer or Tipalti (PayPal), depending on the withdrawal method you choose.
- Cycles run 1st–15th and 16th–end of month; payments go out around the 5th and 20th, adjusted for weekends and holidays.
- Only completed and accepted tasks are paid.
Former Toloka contributors: your account, balance and history moved automatically; log in to Mindrift with the same details.
Eligibility and devices
Mindrift says you can join from any country. Some tasks can be done on a phone; read each task's instructions. Higher-paying projects may require language fluency, degrees or professional experience.
