Migrate from Wati to Gallabox with a WhatsApp rollback plan
A WhatsApp platform move touches a live customer channel. Validate feature fit and total cost in Switch & Save before changing anything. Platform subscription, Meta charges and required add-ons can all affect the result.
Capture the current setup
Document the WhatsApp Business Account, phone number ownership, verified business, approved templates, agent roles, routing rules, opt-in source, webhooks and every integration using the current provider. Save template names, languages and variables exactly.
Confirm the official number-migration requirements with both providers before scheduling a cutover. Do not cancel Wati first. Provider and Meta requirements can change, and number availability is more important than a theoretical monthly saving.
Build and test
- Configure agents and permissions in Gallabox.
- Recreate approved templates or submit replacements early.
- Map custom fields, tags, bot flows and routing logic.
- Point a test integration or separate number at the new webhooks.
- Test inbound messages, session replies, template sends, delivery callbacks and opt-outs.
Check every automation that expects Wati-specific payloads. A successful API response is not enough; verify delivery status and the final CRM record.
Cutover controls
Choose a staffed window and pause outbound campaigns. Keep a spreadsheet or alternate channel ready for missed conversations. Update one integration at a time, then test a real inbound and outbound conversation. Monitor agents, delivery callbacks and webhook errors throughout the first day.
Retain exports of contacts, templates and conversation metadata according to your privacy policy. If required messages fail, restore the previous webhook route while the old account is still available.
